As we know, the industrial revolution was the biggest boom in technological advances back in late 1800’s. This brought many new inventions into the world such as the assembly line, electricity, steel, light bulb, steam engines and many more. These inventions changed America to what it is today. I believe that the industrial revolution did more good than harm because of the new safety policies, technological advances, and working conditions.
During the industrial revolution, there was also a lot of harm. Many people were injured and killed during this time due to bad working conditions. An example would be the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. On March 25, 1911 the factory burst up into flames. About 145 children and woman lost their lives that day. Although many people died, many new safety policies were created after that day to ensure better working conditions for the factory workers. Most of these policies still exist today.
